The Palin Administration is allowing wolves to be killed in order to increase the caribou population because wolves were killing the caribou's young. The total goal for the area is 200 wolves, which would leave about 100 wolves. The state estimates between 290 and 328 wolves live in the region.
These are just some of the horrible ways wolves will be killed:
Poison gas bombs.
Aerial gunning (shooting from the sky in helicopters or airplanes)
Being chased by an airplane or helicopter until they are too tired to run anymore and collapse in exhaustion.
